Minus Forty Technologies believes strongly in keeping products cold and keeping kids warm. With this in mind, MFT in alliance with the Salvation Army are proud to introduce the inaugural “Keeping Kids Warm” children's coat campaign. With the economic downturn and unforeseen circumstances, many kids gowithout proper winter clothing. This situation was unacceptable to us and something had to be done. Starting October 1st 2009 until January 1st 2010, MFT will be collecting coats from friends, family, customers and suppliers and presenting them to the Salvation Army for distribution to those without in our neighborhood. Please help us help the most in need, when something so small means so much.

What freezer to buy and why?

The question is simple but important, how do you increase sales of your frozen products? Your products may already be available to consumers in many retail venues, but is your product in high traffic, highly consumer visible locations in those retail venues? If your frozen products are not in these highly sought after areas, you’re probably missing out on incredible opportunities to sell more of your produce.
So, why aren’t you in these areas now? You’re not there because this high traffic, highly consumer visible square footage is sacred to the retailers. This is where retailers put their high margin yielding products because they know they’ll get a great return. Retailers are vigilant in keeping large bulky merchandisers out of their high traffic zones so, how do you get your products into these high traffic zones? A slim chest freezer can be specifically designed to appease retailers with its slim profile and small footprint justifying placement in high traffic areas. It’s not only that slim chest freezer justifies its placement with its slim profile, retailers are typically pleased with the addition of the aisle mate due to its attractive sleek design and lift top hinged lid.

What if a chest freezer is just not big enough? So how would you win those coveted high volume retail accounts that grow sales of your frozen category?
With a small footprint glass door upright freezer merchandiser. Retailers request upright freezers because of the small floor space required and you like the visual the consumer gets of your products with vertical merchandising. Sounds great but, when we decided to design and manufacture uprights a few years ago we heard so much negativity from the market? About the time we decided to build our upright freezer merchandiser lineup, we knew of several major purchasers of upright freezers that were fed up, to the point of refusing to buy any more upright freezer merchandisers! That was very interesting to us, so before we went to work on our uprights, we asked them why? Why were they so unhappy with existing uprights available on the market? The answer was simple,“they don’t work”. What we learned was that uprights on the market had a high failure rate because the mechanism that gets rid of heat would clog with dirt and thus stop doing its job. The only way one could stop this from happening was to frequently clean this mechanism which wasn’t always done and if you have many units in the field becomes very costly to coordinate. So, we built our upright freezers so that dirt does not collect, no collected dirt, no overheating and no failure!
So what when there is no room for a conventional floor freezer, sell more of your frozen products with a counter-top freezer! What do you do if you want to get your product in another location in your retail account or if all you have to work with is counter-top space? Then you get a counter-top freezer and grow sales. Wherever there is counter-top space, there is an opportunity to make your product available to consumers and as you know a lot of counter-top space is prime real estate. We manufacture three models that allow you to place a counter-top freezer even in the tightest spaces. In addition all of our counters have adjustable shelves giving you flexibility in merchandising various product sizes.
